30-Minute Warning Starts Aug. 4

Starting Aug. 4, 2026, CMS will permanently shorten idle session time to 30 minutes, replacing the temporary 12-hour window.

Why it matters:

• Keeps consumer data secure
• Encourages active, uninterrupted sessions
• Reduces risk of unexpected disruptions

How it works:

• Effective Aug. 4, 2026: 30-minute inactivity timeout
• 12-hour exception (granted through PY2026) is ending
• EZ Wiggle, a time out mechanism, will prevent user timeouts by moving the mouse automatically. Note: EZ Wiggle will be available in our IFM Shop and Enroll white-label solution and HealthSherpa.

What you need to do:

• Stay active during enrollments
• Save progress often
• Avoid stepping away from the website mid-session
• Watch for IFM Shop and Enroll updates
