Renew Your Medicaid or CHIP Coverage
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas knows your health is important to you. You may have to complete a renewal to stay on the state’s Medicaid or CHIP program. Don’t risk losing your benefits. Make sure Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) has your most up-to-date contact information.

Renew Your Benefits
- Look for a notice from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Check

- Check your mail. Look out for important letters from HHSC, such as requests for additional information or notifications about your Medicaid status.

- You must respond within 30 days, or you could lose your benefits.
Make Updates
The best way to protect your benefits is to make sure HHSC has your most recent contact information. You should report changes to your address, phone number, pregnancy, or members of your household.

What if I No Longer Qualify for Medicaid or CHIP?
If you no longer qualify for Medicaid or CHIP, you may be able to get another health plan. You could be eligible to get help paying for a plan with:
