The state offers programs and services to help those in need. Learn about:
- SNAP and WIC food benefits
- TANF cash help to pay for basic needs such as housing, clothing, utilities, phone service and more
- Support services such as long-term care, help with those who are elderly or disabled, support for caregivers, and more
Quality Improvement Program (QIP)
BCBSTX offers QIP to help you get the care and services that you need when you need it. You have access to:
- Disease management programs for those with chronic conditions
- Service coordination for help with simple to complex health needs
- Help with transition of care after you get out of the hospital
- Help getting medications
- And more
Best Benefits℠ Program
This program helps those who are disabled get government aid. The program can help if you have trouble when you apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Learn if you qualify and how to use the program.
Maternal and Infant Health Resources
Get help during and after pregnancy. Here are some ways to get support:
- – This website teaches pregnant women about warning signs of health problems during pregnancy that could lead to maternal death.

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
You can get help after a mental health hospital stay. NAMI provides support and resources at no cost to you.
