CHIP
The CHIP plan offers coverage for children from birth through age 18. It’s for those who earn too much to qualify for Texas Medicaid but can’t afford to buy private insurance.

The STAR plan is for those who qualify for Medicaid – kids, pregnant women and families. It’s also for anyone who gets Temporary Assistance for Need Families (TANF).
