Discounts Not Applied in Medicare Supplement Rate Letters
June 10, 2026
Applies to Medicare Markets
As annual renewals approach, we want to provide additional clarity around the 2026 Medicare Supplement rate letters mailed to members several weeks ago. Those letters outlined rate adjustments effective July 1, 2026.
The rate displayed in the letters is the base rate and does not account for any discount a member receives (i.e., no discounts are mentioned, nor factored into the rate shown in the letter). Rest assured, all applicable discounts will continue to be applied and are reflected in the members’ billing statement.
Rate adjustments will take effect on members’ next billing cycle on or after July 1, based on the member’s payment frequency.
