Surgery Center-Based Physicians
Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) admission may include services rendered by an anesthesiologist, radiologist, or pathologist. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas makes every effort to contract with ASC-based physicians who normally offer services at your in-network health care centers.
The information below is meant to help you learn which facility has contracted ASC-based physicians. Using these physicians could help lower any out-of-pocket costs you might have. Your out-of-pocket costs will be higher if you use anesthesiologists, pathologists, and/or radiologists who aren't part of your network.
Review Covered Providers
To confirm the ASC you choose includes in-network anesthesiologists, pathologists, and radiologists, find your plan below. Then, review your area's directory.
Network provider agreements do not guarantee a network physician will be available at the time of each patient's service. Emergency medicine physician agreements generally apply to the attending physician only and do not always apply to the specialty care physician/professional provider consultations provided during emergency room visits. In addition, physician network participation is subject to change.
