1. Use the BCBSTX Cost Estimator Tool in Provider Finder^®. This tool helps you make more informed health care choices by estimating the out-of-pocket costs of more than 1,600 procedures, treatments, and tests before you head to the doctor. That way, you know what to expect before your appointment.
2. Call a Personal Health Guide. PHG’s act as health advocates, helping you navigate your coverage. You can call a PHG at 1-866-355-5999, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to help you estimate the costs of specialist visits, X-rays, or other diagnostic tests.
