[MUSIC PLAYING] SPEAKER 1: Hi everyone. Welcome back to the channel. As you can see, things are a little chaotic around here because we are in the midst of a big change. That's right. We moved into a new home.
SPEAKER 2: Hey, everyone, move-in day's always a little crazy.
SPEAKER 1: Even more so when you're pregnant. That's right. We're expecting, and we are so excited to start this next chapter in our new home. We have been dreaming of this for so long, a fresh start in a new home with our little one on the way.
SPEAKER 2: And I'm starting a new job. One of the things we're most excited about is creating content in our new space.
SPEAKER 1: I can't wait to share pregnancy updates and, of course, help more people with all of their health care questions.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
So here's to new beginnings, exciting adventures, and the journey ahead. Thank you for being a part of it all.
SPEAKER 2: Cheers to that.
SPEAKER 1: And be sure to watch our other videos linked below. Thanks for watching. See you on the next one.
We make it easy!
EDDIE: Action.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna.
EDDIE: And I'm Eddie.
JENNA: And we're back again with a quick overview on how to get claims information. Today, we're having a conversation with Malia, which I know will interest so many TRS-ActiveCare participants.
MALIA: It's nice to see you both again.
JENNA: It's great to have you back. So let's dive right in. The first thing you want to do to get claims, information is to log into, or if it's your first time, register, for Blue Access for Members. You'll find that on the TRS-ActiveCare site. Or you can download the BCBSTX app, which I love because you can do everything from your phone. Both of those links are below. Once you're logged in, click on Claims. It brings up your claims in chronological order and gives you information about each one and its status. Here, you can filter by date, member if you have family on your plan, claim status, type, and provider.
MALIA: If I know the claim number, can I get right to it?
JENNA: Yep. Just use this search box on the top right. If you hit View Details on a claim, it shows you who paid what and gives you a breakdown of costs if there was more than one, like multiple lapse, for example,
MALIA: It seems easy enough to use, but what if I need help? Is there someone I can talk to?
JENNA: Yes, and I am so glad you asked because I feel like people don't know about personal health guides, so I love talking about them. You can literally call a PHG any time, day or night, or chat in the BCBSTX app if you don't want to talk on the phone.
MALIA: Anytime?
JENNA: Yes, 24/7. They can help you with a claim, answer questions about your coverage, find you a provider, or even make you a doctor's appointment. That phone number and a link are below.
MALIA: Thank you. I understand this a lot better. And now I know who to call if I need help.
JENNA: You are very welcome. Thank you for being here. And thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
And supplies for free!
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna, and welcome back to the channel. Today we're here with Hannah talking about breastfeeding support.
HANNAH: There are so many things to think about with having our first baby. And I know more than a few moms who struggled with nursing.
JENNA: It's definitely on our minds, too. But the great news is all TRS-ActiveCare plans have free breastfeeding support, counseling, and supplies.
HANNAH: I'm so relieved to hear that.
JENNA: So let's pull up your benefits booklet. TRS-ActiveCare, right? Your coverage includes two electric breast pumps per plan year; a rented hospital-grade breast pump, up to the purchase price of $150; breastfeeding accessories and supplies; six visits with a lactation consultant, all at no cost.
The easiest way to get started with these benefits or for more details about how to use them, is to call or chat with a personal health guide. PHGs are so helpful and they are available anytime day or night. You can also check out your benefits booklet at the link below for more details.
HANNAH: I've been using the Ovia pregnancy tracker app every day. Does Ovia have an app with breastfeeding support?
JENNA: I am glad you asked about that. On the Ovia parenting app, you can track feedings and log breastfeeding sessions. It can even help you keep track of which side your baby last nursed on.
HANNAH: Because we both know we might be too sleepy to remember.
JENNA: Exactly. Links for the Ovia apps are also below. So now, like I always do when I'm talking about anything related to maternity or parenting, I wanted to quickly talk about mental health benefits. A breastfeeding counselor will definitely be helpful if nursing is challenging.
But just a reminder that you also have great mental health benefits with your TRS-ActiveCare plan, including in-person therapy with a therapist, psychiatrist, or other mental health specialist; $0 virtual mental health appointments on Primary and Primary+ plans; digital tools you can use any time; and resources that make it fast and easy to find a mental health provider instead of having to wait. You can call or chat with a Personal Health Guide 24/7 for help finding a provider or for any of your benefits. Those links are below.
HANNAH: Thank you so much. I really appreciate you taking the time for this.
JENNA: You're so welcome. And I can't wait to meet that baby.
HANNAH: And I can't wait to meet yours.
JENNA: Thank you for watching. Please check out our other videos to make the most out of your coverage.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Every TRS-ActiveCare plan has coverage.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Hi. Welcome back to the channel. I'm Jenna. And today we have Malia.
MALIA: I'm so excited for you guys.
JENNA: And we're excited that you and Marcus are thinking about starting your family.
MALIA: There's so much to think about, like what kind of fertility and family planning benefits we have.
JENNA: Well, all TRS-ActiveCare plans provide infertility services, including treatment of underlying conditions. We saw a specialist because we didn't get pregnant right away, so we were glad we had options. Your copays for seeing a primary care provider or a specialist are in the plan highlights. Remember, you'll need a referral from your PCP to see a specialist with a Primary or Primary+ plan. For HD, You don't need referrals to see specialists. We linked the how to get a referral video below. You'll also want to check out Ovia. I use it every day.
EDDY: And so do I.
MALIA: What's Ovia?
JENNA: It's one of the no-cost programs on your plan with separate apps for fertility, pregnancy, and parenting. With Ovia fertility, you can track your cycle so you'll know when you're most likely to get pregnant. Ovia apps also offer help from registered nurses and daily articles and tips.
MALIA: That sounds really helpful.
JENNA: It really is. There's one more thing I want to mention. Mental health support. Trying to get pregnant can be really emotional and so can being pregnant, honestly. If you need support, please use your mental health benefits. You can see a therapist in person or virtually. And with the Primary and Primary+ plans, virtual mental health care is free.
MALIA: Wow, I didn't know that.
JENNA: There are so many resources available, including help making appointments and digital tools. We linked to the Mental Health page below. Malia, thank you so much for joining us today. I am sending you all the great fertility mojo.
MALIA: Thank you. And I'm sending some back to you for a safe and healthy pregnancy and baby.
JENNA: Thank you. And thank you, everyone, for watching. Please check out our other videos to make the most of your coverage.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
We’ll help make sure they’re in network!
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna. Welcome back to the channel. Hannah is with us today, and she's expecting, just like we are. So she would like to know--
HANNAH: How do I find a pediatrician?
JENNA: Is there a more important question right now? [LAUGHS] So for any provider search, you want to go to the TRS-ActiveCare site and click on the Doctors and Hospitals tab. And then on your plan. If you know the name of the specialist or practice you want--
HANNAH: Like if I have referrals from friends?
JENNA: Exactly. The first thing you need to do is make sure they're in network. So you would search by name and specialties and enter the name in this search bar. If they're in network, you'll see them pop up below. Before I say anything else, I want to remind you that you can call or chat with a Personal Health Guide 24/7 for help finding a provider or even making appointments. That information is below.
OK, so if you don't have a pediatrician in mind, click on Medical Care, Primary Care, and then Pediatrics. You can also search Provider Finder in the BCBSTX app. And remember, you never need a referral from your doctor for a pediatrician on any plan because pediatricians are considered primary care providers.
Now you can filter. Let's say, female and five-star patient rating. Over here, you can change your distance, and here you can narrow it down even further. Now you can compare providers and get more information by clicking on the provider name or View Profile.
HANNAH: I know you already found your pediatrician. I'd probably use yours if we lived closer. Do you have any more tips for me?
JENNA: It was important to us that our pediatrician offers telemedicine appointments.
HANNAH: That's important to us too. We use Teladoc all the time for virtual appointments.
JENNA: Us too. There's a lot more that goes into choosing the right pediatrician, like checking credentials and reading patient reviews. So visit the page link below for more details. Hannah, thank you for joining us today. I cannot wait to meet your little one.
HANNAH: Can't wait to meet yours too.
JENNA: Thanks again for watching. Be sure to watch our other videos to get the most out of your coverage.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
This great program is included in your plan.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNA: Hi, we're Jenna--
EDDY: --and Eddy.
JENNA: --back with my mom, Linda, who's been helping us help TRS-ActiveCare participants understand and use their benefits. Hi, Mom.
LINDA: Hi, sweetie.
JENNA: So today we are talking cholesterol, specifically how to improve your cholesterol. And I know this is something we've all thought about because we all have friends and family members with high cholesterol.
LINDA: Me, your dad, and your uncle.
JENNA: I was curious, so I looked it up. Did you know about 10% of Americans have high cholesterol, which is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke? And get this. The group with the highest risk is not 70s and 80s. It's 40 to 59. The most shocking thing I found, only 54% of US adults who should be taking cholesterol medicine are actually taking it.
LINDA: That is surprising.
JENNA: But there is a program that can help. And it's available to all TRS-ActiveCare participants for free. It's called wellness coaching.
LINDA: I think you've mentioned that before. But how does it work?
JENNA: Well, the first time you log in to Well onTarget, which we will go over in a minute, you take a health assessment. That will help you pinpoint the right program. Then you can register to work one on one with a credentialed health expert or coach for cholesterol or blood pressure improvement, fitness, diet, stress management, or to stop smoking.
LINDA: And it doesn't cost me anything?
JENNA: Wellness coaching is included in every TRS-ActiveCare plan.
LINDA: That's an amazing benefit.
JENNA: It is. So you can message with your coach in the Wellness portal or in the AlwaysOn app. We've linked both of those below. Or you can use the number on the portal dashboard to talk to your coach by phone. The program also has these online trackers to help you keep track of your milestones and goals.
LINDA: OK, how do I sign up?
JENNA: You can get to Well onTarget by logging into Blue Access for Members and clicking on the Wellness tab, logging into Well onTarget using your Blue Access for Members username and password, or downloading Well onTarget's AlwaysOn wellness app. Those links are below.
LINDA: I'm excited to get started.
JENNA: And we're excited to have you on the channel. And thank you all for watching. Be sure to watch our other videos linked below.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Get started today!
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDIE: Action.
JENNA: Hi. We are Jenna and Eddie back to help more TRS-ActiveCare participants understand and use their benefits. We have my wonderful brother-in-law, Carlos, with us again today. And I'm told he has a confession to make.
EDDIE: Spill it, bro.
CARLOS: I'm Carlos, and I'm a social smoker.
EDDIE: But you're a gym teacher.
CARLOS: I know, it's terrible, but I've been working on my fitness and trying to eat better. And it's time to kick this habit for good.
JENNA: OK, well, let's focus on the positive of you being here and asking for help. That's great, Carlos.
EDDIE: Yeah, I'm proud of you, man.
CARLOS: Thanks. Jenna, you said something about using wellness coaching to stop smoking? Can you tell me about that?
JENNA: Wellness coaching would be a great resource for you. You'll sign up for the smoking cessation program in Well onTarget, and then you'll work with a credentialed health expert who can help you stop. Like the other wellness coaching programs, it won't cost you anything. It's included in every TRS-ActiveCare plan.
CARLOS: So I signed up the same way I did when I worked with the nutritionist for free?
JENNA: Exactly. You can go to well on target by logging into Blue Access for Members and clicking on the Wellness tab, or logging into Well onTarget using your Blue Access for Members username and password, or downloading Well onTarget's AlwaysOn wellness app. Those links are below. As you know, when you use wellness coaching for the first time, you'll take a health assessment to help you pinpoint the right program. Then you can register to work one-on-one with a coach for fitness, diet, stress management, cholesterol or blood pressure improvement, or to stop smoking.
CARLOS: And I communicate with my coach in the wellness portal?
JENNA: Right. You can message with your coach there or in the AlwaysOn app. We've linked those below. Or, I know you like talking on the phone, so you can use the number on the portal dashboard to talk to your coach.
EDDIE: The program also has these online trackers to help you keep track of milestones and goals.
CARLOS: Thank you for introducing me to wellness coaching. I'm excited to tackle this new challenge.
JENNA: You are very welcome, and we're excited for you. Thank you for being here, Carlos. And thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
Don’t skip your life-saving preventive care.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna.
EDDY: And Eddy.
JENNA: And we're back with more tips for using your health insurance and getting the most out of your coverage. Today, we're here with my mom, Linda.
LINDA: Hi, Eddy. Hi, Jenna. Good to be here.
JENNA: Hi, Mom. Thanks for coming on the channel today. I know you wanted to talk about colonoscopies today.
LINDA: I did. I don't have a question about colonoscopies. It's more of a public service announcement to get one as soon as you hit the recommended age, which right now is 45. I just lost a friend to colon cancer. And it's because he never got a colonoscopy even though his doctor and his wife nagged him about it. And it was included at no cost with his health plan.
JENNA: And that's because colonoscopies are considered preventive care, which is 100% covered on every TRS-ActiveCare plan. And I'm so sorry for your loss. He was a great guy.
LINDA: He was. I know both of you are too young for a colonoscopy. But I hope as soon as you hit 45, you'll go get one. I just read that as much as 90% of colorectal cancer deaths are preventable. So listen to your mom and get a colonoscopy as soon as you're eligible.
JENNA: I want to add that everyone on TRS-ActiveCare also has member rewards, which gives you rewards for choosing a Member Rewards eligible provider for things like colonoscopies, MRIs, CT scans, and mammograms.
LINDA: Can you explain how that works? Well, first, you'll log into Provider Finder to find a Member Rewards-eligible location. You can also connect with a personal health guide 24/7 by calling 1-866-355-5999 or chatting through the BCBSTX App for help. The link to the app is below. In Member Rewards, you can compare providers and read reviews. If you're looking for a service that isn't covered under preventive care, like an MRI or CT scan, you can compare prices too.
EDDY: And you'll be shocked at how different the prices can be. When I had my MRI, there was more than $1,000 difference between some providers.
JENNA: It's true. Prices for the same services can be thousands of dollars apart even within the same region and network. Member Rewards helps filter the providers so you save money on those non-preventive-care services. Once you find the eligible location you like, ask your PCP for a referral and then make an appointment.
A PHG can also schedule the appointment for you. When everything is wrapped up, your reward is deposited into a healthcare account for you to use. On the Primary plans, you use your rewards towards the cost of future medical or pharmacy costs, like copays. For HD, your rewards go towards dental and vision expenses. On all plans, you can earn up to $599 per person, per plan year.
LINDA: That's a great extra incentive to staying healthy.
JENNA: Exactly
LINDA: Thanks, you two. I know this is going to help a lot of people.
JENNA: Well, thank you for coming on and telling everyone. And thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
We’ll help you get info before you see a provider.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna.
EDDY: I'm Eddy.
JENNA: And we're here today with Malia talking about copays--
EDDY: And deductibles.
MALIA: Thank you for helping with this. I just don't know where to start.
JENNA: That is why we are here. For information about copays and deductibles, Plan Highlights is your friend. On the TRS-ActiveCare site, we will go to Coverage and Benefits, then Plan Highlights for this plan year. Then choose your region. Now hit Download.
MALIA: That's a lot of information.
JENNA: It is. But keep in mind, you only have to look at your plan. You have TRS-ActiveCare Primary, right? So that eliminates all these other columns. Here are your copays for primary care specialists, urgent care, and virtual health. Down here, you can see your copay for prescription drugs. Then on the next page, you'll find labs, imaging-- like MRIs-- and inpatient hospital costs.
MALIA: So my personal deductible and maximum out-of-pocket information won't be here. Right?
JENNA: Right. For that, you'll log into Blue Access for Members or on the BCBSTX app. Those links are below. If you click here on Spending, it brings up your Deductible and Out of Pocket Max. Here you can see where you are on your deductible and how much is left before you've met it. It also breaks down how much of that deductible was spent on medical and prescriptions.
Over here is your Out of Pocket Max. You can see what you've spent and your yearly limit and then the breakdown underneath. Now, there's one important thing to point out here. If you had other family members on your plan, it would say "Family" above Out of Pocket Max, and this number would be the total spend for the family. Underneath would be a breakdown of each family member's spend and annual limit.
MALIA: This makes sense.
JENNA: Before we go, there is one great tip I want to share. If you need information about copays, deductibles, or anything related to your coverage, call or chat with a personal health guide. At lunch, at the end of the day, in the middle of the night-- it doesn't matter. They are available 24/7, and they are so helpful with claims questions, finding providers, and even making doctor's appointments.
MALIA: Thank you. That's a great tip.
JENNA: You are welcome, and thank you for being here. Thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
It’s 100% covered by your plan.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Jenna and Eddy here with a very special guest today, my mom, Linda.
EDDY: Yay!
LINDA: Hi, Eddy Hi, Jenna. Thanks for having me.
JENNA: Usually, our guests have a question about their health-care coverage, but we're doing things a little differently today. As some of you may know, Eddy and I are expecting our first baby, and that's got us thinking more about our health and our family histories. I knew we had breast cancer in our family, but I wanted to know more about it and what I should be doing to protect myself.
So, mom, you were telling me about Grandma and Aunt Kathy?
LINDA: Yes, Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer in her '60s. And Aunt Kathy died of breast cancer at 84. I know the risk rises when there's a family history, so it made me pay more attention to mammograms and self-checks.
JENNA: Me, too. Keep in mind, the American Cancer Society says the average woman should start getting annual mammograms at age 40. If you have other risk factors, like family history, your doctor may recommend you get checked earlier.
LINDA: I know we talked about using Member Rewards for colonoscopies. How does it work for mammograms?
JENNA: It's the same process. First, everyone on TRS-ActiveCare has Member Rewards, which gives you rewards for choosing a Member Rewards-eligible provider for things like mammograms, colonoscopies, MRIs, and CT scans. In Member Rewards, you can compare providers, read reviews and see different pricing for services.
Mammograms and colonoscopies are 100% covered under preventive care. But things like MRIs and CT scans can be thousands of dollars apart for the same service, even within the same region and network. Member Rewards helps filter the providers so you can save money on those non-preventive care services.
EDDY: It really is shocking how different the prices can be. Member Rewards saved us a ton of money when I had my MRI.
JENNA: True. OK. So to use Member Rewards, you'll log in to Provider Finder to find a Member Rewards-eligible location. You can also connect with a Personal Health Guide 24/7 by calling 1-866-355-5999 or chatting through the BCBSTX app for help. The link to the app is below.
Once you find the eligible location you like, ask your PCP for a referral and then make an appointment. A PHG can also schedule the appointment for you. When everything is wrapped up, your reward is deposited into your health care account. On all plans, you can earn up to $599 per person per plan year. On the primary plans, you'll use those rewards toward the cost of future medical or pharmacy costs, like copays. And for HD, your rewards go toward dental and vision expenses.
LINDA: That's great. Thanks for explaining that and for helping people use their health-care coverage.
JENNA: And thank you for being on the channel, Mom. And thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
It’s easier than you think.
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna. Welcome back to the channel. Today we have Malia, who has a question about finding referrals.
MALIA: I'm confused about when I need a referral and how to get one.
JENNA: Well, let's make it less confusing. You're on TRS-ActiveCare primary, right? OK, for TRS ActiveCare HD, you never need a referral. For Primary or Primary+, you need a referral from your primary care provider for most things except emergency care, annual well-woman visits, and in-network mental health care. So for everything else, you'd ask your PCP for a referral. If you see a specialist without a referral, you could end up having to pay out of pocket for your appointment.
MALIA: That's good to know.
JENNA: Your PCP might have a specific person or practice in mind. But you can always do your own search and ask for a referral to that specialist.
MALIA: What if a friend recommends a specialist? Could I use them?
JENNA: You'll want to talk to your PCP first. And you always need to make sure the provider is in network. Out-of-network providers aren't covered on TRS-ActiveCare Primary and Primary+ plans. TRS-ActiveCare HD covers out-of-network providers. But you'll pay more. To search for a specialist, go to the TRS-ActiveCare site, then the Doctors and Hospitals tab, then on your plan.
If you know the name of the specialist or practice you want, enter it in this search bar. If not, click on Medical Care and All Specialties. You can scroll through this list or click on a letter. Let's go to D for dermatology. Now you can filter. Let's say, female and five-star patient rating. Over here, change your distance. Let's make that 10 miles. And here you can narrow it down further by practice, expertise, or language.
MALIA: That looks like a much more manageable list.
JENNA: Exactly. Now you have individual providers to compare. And you can get more information about each by clicking their name or View Profile.
MALIA: Thank you. I'm excited to get searching.
JENNA: Thanks for joining us today. And don't forget to check out our other videos linked below.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
Wait ‘till you see all your benefits!
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
JENNA: Hi, welcome back to the channel. I'm Jenna. And today we're here with our friend, Hannah, talking all things pregnancy because we are both expecting.
HANNAH: Yay us.
JENNA: So we already went over how to find a pediatrician, which you can watch at the link below. Now we're talking about how to use our maternity benefits.
HANNAH: I need this.
JENNA: Oh, we know. The good news is you have excellent coverage with your active care plan. Have you used Ovia yet?
HANNAH: No what's Ovia?
JENNA: Ovia apps are great. They include help from registered nurses and daily articles and tips, plus phone support for high-risk pregnancies. With Ovia Pregnancy Tracker, you can look up food and medication safety and watch your baby grow week by week.
HANNAH: I love that.
JENNA: And then once your baby is here, you can use Ovia parenting to track feedings, diaper changes, and sleep. Links for Ovia apps are below. Well onTarget has self-management programs from pre-pregnancy to parenting. And that's where you'll find health coaching. This is the most incredible resource and everyone is always shocked that it's available to them because whether you're pregnant or not, you can work with a registered dietician or fitness expert for free.
HANNAH: For free?
JENNA: Yeah, it's included in your coverage. And those are just a few of the programs offered. Then once the baby is here, you have free breastfeeding support and supplies.
HANNAH: What? Wow.
JENNA: I know. It includes electric breast pumps and lactation counseling. Check out your benefits booklet at the link below for more details. Do you have any other questions?
HANNAH: Can you tell me about mental health benefits?
JENNA: This page has been really helpful to me. There's a ton of great info here, including all of your coverage options in one place. So you can see that you have access to in-person therapy with a therapist, psychiatrist, or other mental health specialist. $0 Virtual mental health appointments on primary and primary plus plans, digital tools you can use any time, and resources that make it fast and easy to find a mental health provider, instead of having to wait.
Again, your benefits booklet is the place to go for specific details about your plan, including copays and deductibles. And if you need a therapist or other mental health provider, go to Provider Finder or call or chat with a personal health guide 24/7. Those links are below.
HANNAH: Thank you. This was really helpful.
JENNA: A pleasure. And I'm wishing you an easy and healthy pregnancy and baby.
HANNAH: Thanks. You too, Jenna.
JENNA: Thanks again for watching. Watch our other videos linked below to make the most out of your coverage.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
This will save you money!
[MUSIC PLAYING] EDDY: Action.
JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna, and this is my husband, Eddy.
EDDY: Hola!
JENNA: And we're back with some more great information about using your benefits. Today we have a very special guest, my brother-in-law, Carlos.
EDDY: Hey, little bro.
[LAUGHTER]
JENNA: So, what's on your mind, Carlos?
CARLOS: Well, you know I'm a gym teacher, so I'm always working on my fitness.
EDDY: You're almost as fit as me.
[LAUGHTER]
CARLOS: But I really want to make sure I'm eating right, too. Eddy said something about a free nutritionist?
JENNA: Yeah, people are so surprised when I tell them about, Well onTarget wellness coaching. And yeah, it's true. You can work with a nutritionist, and it won't cost you anything. It's included in every TRS-ActiveCare plan.
CARLOS: Details, please.
JENNA: So we're going to go to Well onTarget. You can get there by logging in to Blue Access for Members and clicking on the Wellness tab, logging into Well onTarget using your Blue Access for Members username and password, or downloading Well onTarget's AlwaysOn wellness app. Those links are below.
The first step is to take a health assessment. Then you can register to work one-on-one with a nutritionist as your coach. Together, you'll make a plan to improve your diet.
CARLOS: How do I communicate with my coach?
JENNA: You can message with your coach right there in the wellness portal or the AlwaysOn app. We've linked both of those below. Or you can talk to your coach on the phone. The phone number is on the portal dashboard.
EDDY: The program also has these online trackers to help you keep track of milestones and goals.
CARLOS: I can't believe this is free. I was expecting to have to come up with hundreds of dollars to work with the nutritionist.
EDDY: Well, help us spread the word. We want more people to be able to take advantage of this included benefit and meet their health goals.
CARLOS: What other programs are there?
JENNA: Stress management, fitness, weight loss. They can also help you improve your cholesterol or blood pressure or stop smoking.
CARLOS: There's at least one other program I'm interested in.
JENNA: Keep in mind you can do multiple programs, but only one at a time.
CARLOS: This is great info. Thank you, Jenna. And Eddy, you better watch out. Fit Carlos is about to become fit and healthy Carlos.
[LAUGHTER]
JENNA: We have no doubt. Carlos. Thank you for being here, and thank you all for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.

JENNA: Hi, I'm Jenna. I'm usually here with my husband, Eddy, and a guest with a question about their health coverage. But today it's just me getting super honest about something sensitive. I hope it'll help any of you who are dealing with something similar.
I've talked a bit about mental health before. But I want to go into more detail about what's helping me. I appreciate TRS-ActiveCare's commitment to mental health. And I love that I can get virtual mental healthcare for free through my TRS-ActiveCare plan.
But my stress level since I got pregnant with our first baby has been really high. And I wanted to target that specifically. I've had friends and family use wellness coaching through Well onTarget to improve their nutrition, get fit, lower their cholesterol, or stop smoking. So I knew the program worked. And I was ready to learn some new tips for stress management. So I signed up.
Let me just tell you, the fact that this program is free is amazing. I know so many people are feeling stressed, whether it's about family or finances or work or health. But you have tools to help, and they do help. I know because they're helping me pinpoint what causes my stress and find healthy ways to combat it.
My stress management coach is giving me the tools to get through this period and manage my stress after our baby is born too. So I want to show you how to sign up for wellness coaching. First, you'll go to Well onTarget. You can get there by logging in to Blue Access for Members and clicking on the Wellness tab, logging into Well onTarget using your Blue Access for Members username and password, or downloading Well onTarget's AlwaysOn wellness app. And those links are below.
Once you're in, you'll take a health assessment. That will help you choose the right program. Then you can register to work one on one with a credentialed health expert for stress management, cholesterol or blood pressure improvement, fitness diet or to stop smoking.
You can message with your coach in the Wellness portal or in the AlwaysOn App. Those are both linked below too. Or you can use the number on the portal dashboard to talk to your coach by phone. The program also has these online trackers to keep track of milestones and goals.
If you're feeling stressed, I hope you'll use this program and that you'll check out all the other mental health benefits available to you through TRS-ActiveCare. That link is below. Thank you, everyone, for listening. I am wishing you good health. And don't forget to view our other videos.

And earn a reward!
[MUSIC PLAYING] JENNA: We are Jenna and Eddy, again, with more tips for using your health care coverage. Today, we are making it personal because Eddy hurt his knee playing basketball for three hours.
EDDY: Against college players.
JENNA: I love your competitive edge, babe. But I am so glad you weren't seriously hurt.
EDDY: Me too. Hurting my knee was an education for us. So we're sharing what we learned about getting an MRI and using Member Rewards because it helped us save money.
JENNA: Exactly.
EDDY: After I got hurt, I called my PCP to get a referral.
JENNA: We knew about Member Rewards because, well, this is what we do. But we've never used it ourselves. When we compared prices from different providers, it was really shocking.
EDDY: Some imaging centers were over $1,000. I couldn't believe it.
JENNA: Prices for the same services can be thousands of dollars apart even within the same region and network. Member Rewards helps filter the providers so you save money.
EDDY: Yep. We were able to compare providers and find an imaging center that had great reviews and highly-qualified doctors. And it was so much less money. And then we got rewards on top of that.
JENNA: So let me explain how that works. When you choose a member-rewards-eligible provider for things like MRIs CT scans, colonoscopies, and mammograms, you get rewards. On TRS-ActiveCare Primary and TRS-ActiveCare care Primary+, you use your rewards towards the cost of future medical or pharmacy costs like copays. For the TRS-ActiveCare HD Plan, your rewards go towards dental and vision expenses.
On all plans, you can earn up to $599 per person, per plan year. To use Member Rewards, go to Provider Finder to find a rewards-eligible location. You can also connect with a personal health guide 24/7 by calling 1-866-355-5999 or chatting through the BCBSTX App. The link to the app is below.
Once you find the eligible location you like, ask your PCP for a referral, and then make an appointment. Remember, if you're on HD, you don't need a referral. A PHG can also schedule the appointment for you. When everything is wrapped up, your reward is deposited into a healthcare account for you to use. And it really is that easy. Thanks again for watching. Be sure to check out our other videos linked below.
