Vision Coverage

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas contracts with Davis Vision®* to provide vision services to STAR members. Vision providers take care of your eyes. You do not need an OK from your primary care provider (PCP) for vision care. Services include:

  • An eye exam every 12 months
  • Glasses
  • Contact lenses

BCBSTX also offers an enhanced benefit for eyewear for children as a Value-Added Service. Please check Enhanced Eyewear for Kids.

Children may be able to have further eye tests and glasses as part of Texas Health Steps.
