Every year, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas select an employee who best represents the company's commitment to the community. For 2019, that's Ryan Dugas, a print marketing design manager at the Richardson office. Ryan has inspired his colleagues through his volunteer work with Heroes on the Water, an event that takes veterans with PTSD kayak fishing for the day. Ryan is also involved with Carry The Load, a giant rally in downtown Dallas where volunteers walk the Katy Trail carrying the weight and the names of veterans. Ryan also recruits his colleagues to join him in volunteering with Mission Regan, a nonprofit that packs medical supplies and sends them to clinics in underprivileged nations.
