  • When picking a new plan, one thing you want to find out is if the doctors, dentists, hospitals, and other health care providers you use now are in the new plan’s provider “network.” A provider network is a group of health care providers that take patients who have your health plan.
  • Next, decide how much you will use your benefits. If you see doctors often, you may need the broader network. If you have a serious illness, you will want to be able to see specialists who may be outside the plan’s provider network. If you are healthy and don’t see a doctor often, the smaller network may serve your needs.
  • You can then choose what “level” of coverage you want – Gold, Silver or Bronze. Each level has a mix of copays, premiums, and deductibles to meet your exact needs.
  • You’ll also want to see if you qualify for a tax credit. This tax credit will save you money on your monthly premium.

Are My Doctors In Network?

We offer two networks: Blue Advantage HMOSM and MyBlue HealthSM.

Blue Advantage HMO

The Blue Advantage HMO network is a large, statewide network of physicians, hospitals, and other health care providers.

Your care will be covered under the Blue Advantage HMO network when you enroll in a Blue Advantage HMO or Blue Advantage PlusSM plan. With both plans, you'll visit your primary care physician (PCP) for most care. With the Blue Advantage Plus plan, visits to specialists outside of the Blue Advantage network may be covered under your benefits.

Once you've decide which plan is right for your needs, you'll be able to choose its metallic level. Gold, Silver, and Bronze each offer different levels of coverage at different prices to fit your budget. Learn more about metallic levels.

Search to see if your provider is in the Blue Advantage HMO network.

MyBlue HealthSM

MyBlue HealthSM is a low-cost option offered in several counties across Texas.

With a MyBlue Health plan, your care with providers in the MyBlue Health network will be covered. MyBlue Health plans offer a $0 copay when you visit select primary care physicians for scheduled visits, including office visits, telehealth appointments, immunizations, imaging, allergy testing and more.

Like with Blue Advantage HMO plans, the MyBlue Health Plan offers Gold, Silver, and Bronze tiers to give you different levels of coverage at different costs. Learn more about metallic levels.
