Effective on December 31, 2006, the agreement between Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) and Allianz AG and their subsidiaries will terminate. These Licensees operate under three alpha prefixes, ZZC–Italy, ZZD–Germany, and ZZP–United Kingdom.

Claims for members receiving medical care in the United States for services incurred prior to January 1, 2007, will be processed as long as providers submit claims by March 2, 2007. Claims for treatment incurred on or after January 1, 2007, regardless of when submitted, will not be processed.

BCBSTX providers should not accept ID cards with alpha prefixes of ZZC, ZZD and ZZP after December 31, 2006. Also, submission of claims prior to March 2, 2007 will ensure your claims will be processed through BlueCard.
