Foundation Hospital Care is a limited "inpatient facility only" health insurance plan. This plan does not provide health coverage for outpatient settings.

Policyholders can feel good knowing that their health insurance plan is backed by the reputation of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas.  That's because Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has been providing health insurance to Texans since 1939 and is one of the largest non-investor-owned health insurers in the state, serving more than 3.9 million people (Source:  Texas Division President Reflecting on Successful 2007 Focusing on 2008 Goals, February 2008).

Foundation Hospital Care provides:

• Affordable cost-effective health coverage for inpatient settings
• Freedom to choose hospitals
• Individual and family coverages

This preferred provider health insurance plan, either in whole or in part, does not provide state-mandated benefits in Texas.  This plan may be more affordable but may provide fewer benefits.
