Negotiation with Memorial Hermann
Our contracts with Houston-based Memorial Hermann expired on April 1, 2026. During the past several months, we worked closely with Memorial Hermann to try to negotiate new contracts. Unfortunately, we couldn’t reach agreements that protect the interests of our members and customers.
As of April 1, Memorial Hermann hospitals, facilities, doctors and health care professionals are no longer in our networks.
You are our priority. We’ve contracted separately with some of the community doctors and health care professionals affiliated with Memorial Hermann. This will allow you to continue seeing these doctors at in-network rates. You also continue to have access to our robust network of doctors, health care professionals, hospitals and facilities.
Check for options based on your plan by logging in to your member account online or through the BCBSTX App. You can also call the number on your member ID card.
Why It Matters
Memorial Hermann doctors, hospitals and other facilities are no longer in these provider networks as of April 1:
- Blue Choice PPOSM
- Blue EssentialsSM
- Blue Advantage HMOSM
- BlueHPN®
Memorial Hermann will leave our Blue PremierSM network as of Aug. 1, 2026.
Memorial Hermann left our Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (PPO)SM and Blue Cross Medicare Advantage (HMO)SM networks as of Jan. 1, 2026.

In the case of a life-threatening illness or injury, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility right away. Emergency services for commercial networks are covered at the in-network benefit level.
