The Preferred Drug Guide includes a list of preferred drugs based upon clinical recommendations of the National Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Drugs are added to the Preferred Drug Guide after considering safety, efficacy, uniqueness, and cost. Physicians are encouraged to prescribed drugs in this guide. Please check your health insurance plan for drugs in this guide that are not covered.
