NEW! Care Comparison Tool - Find a facility that performs a specific procedure or treatment, the typical average cost, and a tool to help you rank facilities based on the factors important to you. To use the tool, log in to Blue Access for Members and click the Care Comparison icon.
Hospital-Based Grid - In an effort to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses, you can use our hospital-based grid to assist you in determining which facilities have hospital-based physicians who are contracted with BCBSTX. Your out-of-pocket expenses may be greater if you utilize a facility where hospital-based physicians do not contract with BCBSTX.
BlueCompare - Members and non-members can obtain affordability and performance details on how physicians and hospitals compare to their peers through BlueCompare.
Blue Distinction - Blue Distinction is a nationwide program that creates an unprecedented level of healthcare transparency with two goals: engaging consumers to enable more informed healthcare decisions and collaborating with providers to improve quality outcomes and affordability. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, in partnership with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, has developed Blue Distinction Centers.
Texas Price Point - is sponsored by the Texas Hospital Association, an Austin-based nonprofit statewide trade association representing hospitals and health systems. Texas Price Point was created to provide basic demographic, quality and charge information on Texas hospitals and to promote consumer/hospital interaction.
