NEW in August 2010 - Free Services to Help You Quit Smoking
State employees, retirees, and dependents are eligible for free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) through a new program designed to help stop smoking.
The program, offered by the Department of State Health Services, includes toll-free telephone counseling services available through the Texas Quitline, at (877) YES-QUIT (937-7848).
You can call the Quitline for counseling and up to eight weeks of NRT, which includes patches, gum, or lozenges. The free NRT will be available through December 2011.
