How do I select a Primary Care Physician (PCP)?
Primary Care Physician changes can be completed in one of three ways:
- Contacting BCBSTX Customer Service by phone at (800) 252-8039;
- Using Live Chat through Blue Access for Members; or
- Sending BCBSTX Customer Service an email while logged in to Blue Access for Members
You will need to include the physician name, provider number and address, which is located on the online directory. Your selection is effective the day you call.
You also have the option to complete a GBP Supplemental Form and mail to:

Your selection is effective the date you sign your form.
How do I get a replacement ID card or request additional cards?
Call BCBSTX Customer Service at (800) 252-8039 OR log in to Blue Access for Members where you have the option to print a temporary ID card and request a replacement card.
