All new HealthSelect participants will receive two new ID cards before September 1, 2009. One ID card will be issued to you from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. Use this card when receiving medical services. The other ID card you receive will come from Caremark, your pharmacy benefits administrator. Use this card when purchasing prescriptions.
If you are new to HealthSelect on September 1, 2009, and need to access medical care before you receive your HealthSelect medical ID card, have your provider contact BCBSTX Customer Service at (800) 252-8039, and one of our representatives will verify your coverage. You must contact Caremark at (888) 886-8490 for verification of pharmacy plan coverage or benefits.
Current HealthSelect participants can order replacement medical cards by calling BCBSTX Customer Service or by ordering online through Blue Access for Members. Replacement pharmacy ID cards can be ordered by contacting Caremark at (888) 886-8490.
