HealthSelect of Texas is the state of Texas' self-funded insurance plan administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) and is a benefit option for all eligible participants of the Group Benefits Program, including state of Texas and certain higher education employees, retirees and their dependents.
There will be no medical benefit changes on September 1, 2009
This means there will be no increases in the amounts you pay when you receive medical care.
ID Cards - New HealthSelect participants will receive a medical ID card from HealthSelect and a prescription drug ID card from Caremark around September 1, 2009. Current HealthSelect participants can order replacement cards through Customer Service.
Remember: Caremark is your pharmacy benefits administrator. If you have questions regarding your prescription drug coverage, you may contact Caremark directly at (888) 886-8490.
