The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Austin and BCBSTX Present the Third Annual Type1Now Conference to Educate, Empower and Inspire the Type 1 Community
Austin, TX — In partnership with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX), the Austin Chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is hosting its third annual Type1Now Conference on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the UT Commons Learning Center. Now a nationally recognized educational conference, Type1Now is a full day of education and inspiration on living well with type 1 diabetes (T1D). This conference is appropriate for anyone affected by this disease; parents of children with T1D, adults newly diagnosed or veteran, alternate caregivers, and medical professionals.
The full day will consist of a research update delivered by Tom Brobson, JDRF National Director, Research Investment Opportunities and a participant in recent cutting edge Artificial Pancreas clinical trials and a Keynote Address from Manny Hernandez, President of Diabetes Hands Foundation. Attendees will select from a variety of breakout sessions focused on four informational avenues including basic care, advanced care, emotional well being, and research as well as visit with diabetes care and management exhibitors, participate in interactive table topics and much more!
